COMPLEX HOUSING IN XALAPA

Today we went go to called “LA PRADERA”. LA PRADEA is complex housing when built after 2000. High-Rise apartments for high-income and low-rise residental for low-income are located together.

Especially low-rise housing can be changed arbitrarily. The basic modules are same, but the extension is possible depending on the needs of the residents. flexible thinking like this makes the diversity of urban landscape.

However, self-building can threaten the safety of the neighborhood. the extended housing section to parking space will hinder community development.

They understand the need for public space and made several public spaces. but i did

not know that is actually being used, in addition public space must be change to take activities space, rather than space given public space.

xalapa cities are rapidly growing up in currently. it has the energy capable of growth

and has the inherent potential. but we have a lot of lessons form other cities. we have to think go human activity with the growth and repair long-term plans for continued growth.
